God, it feels good to be back!
Long ago, I wrote reviews for comics, movies and TV shows. I did it for Unleash The Fanboy, then I made my own .com Snap Pow which for a brief second became Comic Rates. Goals evolve, dreams shift. I started a family. I became a dad. Their happiness became my reason, my why. Although, I never forgot my little adventures!
Going to comic conventions, interviewing talent in and around the industry. Getting to be engaged in the culture and climate that I loved… just thinking about it now makes me smile. So why are we here? And why now? I’m 38. I missed writing and a couple weeks ago I thought if I did this thing again how would I do it differently?
First step was getting either an old domain or starting a new one. Chose the latter. Then it hit me, Boom Smack Pow.com! This isn’t a site dedicated to traffic, clicks or breaking news. Our mission is different. This is a place for fans by fans. A bright corner of the internet where we can geek out over things we love together.
The beacon is lit and I hope more of my old contributors will join me, until then Stan Lee said it best true believers:
“’nuff said!”
