OMG, now this is what I’ve been waiting for! SquareEnix revealed Final Fantasy Resonance an HD-2D game ready to re-wind the clock to the turn based times and I’m all for it. The sights, the sounds, the score this is a modern day classic in the making — 2026, honestly this wasn’t in my bingo card especially considering other titles coming out this year but I’m pumped.

Literally played my first game in the series on the NES, and really became a fanboy circa the PlayStation era, like many of you. Final Fantasy VII was the first one I beat and VIII, well, that one burned into my memory demo disc and beyond. It was glorious and showed me the potential of 32 bit. But then I played Origins and Chronicles and I ached for a new 2D FF and here we are!
