It’s here, it’s finally here! The Avengers: Doomsday trailer has arrived and it’s what I wanted. As someone who’s behind on the MCU, shows and movies, they just pulled me back in. I’m not going to take too much time I just want to share the awesomeness and celebrate the return of the Russo brotthers.
Doctor Doom has officially arrived in the MCU. This villain, a master of cutting-edge science and powerful magic, will unleash a cascading crisis across the entire multiverse.
What works is the tone, the stakes feel high and the danger real. Even in this version where the current heroes may not be who we think of when we say Earth’s Mightiest but I’m eager to see where this goes. In my heart I want this to be a not so subtle adaption of the end of Hickman Avengers run where comic fans saw the final incursion between the former Ultimate Universe and the main 616. For movie goers we have Fox inspired comic accurate X-Men vs the mainline MCU. It’s about to be AvX on the big screen, let’s go!
