Alright Bug Wars is coming back baby with a brand new mini-series. Bet a lot of you are asking what the heck is this??? Did you miss out on volume one and its one-shot? Well let me fill you in on a few things think of your backyard as a battlefield turn the bugs into fantasy soldiers vying for land and power with a shrunken human involved to boot. Think Lord of the Rings with a Honey, I Shrunk the Kids twist. Actually, now that I’m describing it might be more Game of Thrones. Either way it’s brutal, epic and compelling!

BUG WARS: THE COMING OF THE WARDOOM #1

“Your favorite man-eating bug comic is back for another adventure, one that’s even bigger than before, with new heroes, new villains, new bugs and new exotic locales in the Slaymaker family’s backyard,” said Aaron via press release. “I’m so grateful y’all have made this series such a success, because I seriously think there’s enough story here and enough of a fantastical world to explore that I could write Bug Wars until I’m worm food. May we all live to see the dew.”

Added Asrar, “So excited to be back for more Bug Wars and this time there’ll be more than bug juice spilt. Hope you join us for the madness.”

In the eight issue series set six months after the events of the original (and the Spyder Wytch one-shot), Slade Slaymaker is living his life as a normal sized human, when he’s “dragged back into a brutal world where roach knights ride, squirrel armies gather, and survival means choosing your side in a war no human was meant to fight.”
Bug Wars: The Coming of The Wardoom #1 hits stores on August 19 with covers by Babs Tarr (NSFW), Asrar and Matthew Wilson, Christian Ward, Nicoletta Baldari, and Juan Ferreyra. Check out two covers and interior pages, below.
